{"id":21712,"date":"2020-03-03T13:55:14","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T18:55:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/?p=21712"},"modified":"2020-03-03T13:55:14","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T18:55:14","slug":"sponsored-programs-to-deactivate-grants-shared-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/2020\/03\/03\/sponsored-programs-to-deactivate-grants-shared-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Sponsored Programs to Deactivate Grants Shared Drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On June 1, 2020, Sponsored Programs will begin the process of sunsetting the Grants shared drive, which is currently located here: grants (\\\\gpnas.bu.edu\\osp\\Grants).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/research\/files\/2020\/03\/grantsgov_folders-217x636.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-21713\" width=\"217\" height=\"636\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/files\/2020\/03\/grantsgov_folders-217x636.png 217w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/research\/files\/2020\/03\/grantsgov_folders.png 272w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 217px) 100vw, 217px\" \/><br \/>\nHistorically, this drive was used as a way to exchange documents between BU Departments and Sponsored Programs Research Administrators in advance of submitting a proposal to a sponsor. But several years ago, our workflow shifted to have all proposals routed through the SP Front Desk (<a href=\"mailto:ospera@bu.edu\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ospera@bu.edu<\/a>). Since then, the Grants shared drive has had no role in SP workflow.<\/p>\n<p>Between now and June 1st, departments should work with their individual BU IS&amp;T contacts to create a department specific shared drive (if necessary). Once a shared drive is created, <strong>Department Administrators should migrate any existing files from the Grants shared drive to their new location.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Still have questions?
