Whether they are lakes, rivers, coastal waters, or the open ocean, these systems are all facing increasing pressures from climate change and human activities with consequences for water quality, biogeochemical cycling, and ecosystem functioning and suitability. Our team at the Center for Remote Sensing uses optics and remote sensing to promote a better quantitative understanding of aquatic processes and of their climate- and human-driven perturbations.
