MyBU Student<\/a>\u00a0is your personal and secure online link to student records at Boston University, and it provides access to a variety of important information. Using MyBU Student, you can view and change your personal information, view your student account, check your grades, confirm classroom locations, and much more<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Getting Access<\/h4>
<\/p>\n

To access information on MyBU Student<\/a>, you must have a BU login name and Kerberos password<\/a>;\u00a0if you have set up a BU email account<\/a>, you might already have a BU login name and Kerberos password.\u00a0Once you have a BU login name and Kerberos password, you will be able to access the\u00a0BU wireless network<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Your BU login name and Kerberos password provide access to important personal information; safeguard your Kerberos password and do not give it to anyone. Sharing your password, or using anyone else\u2019s password, is prohibited by Boston University\u2019s Conditions of Use and Policy on Computing Ethics<\/a>;\u00a0any violation of this policy may be cause for disciplinary action.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/h4>
<\/a><\/p>\n

Access to MyBU Student<\/a>\u00a0allows you to register and add, drop, and change your classes as needed during registration, as well as view\u00a0or print your class schedule, and see a summary of your status.<\/p>\n

Use the\u00a0Registration Planner\u00a0on MyBU Student<\/a>\u00a0before registration begins to plan, select, and adjust your classes. \u00a0The Planner can\u00a0help you resolve potential enrollment issues, and\u00a0save you time during registration by allowing you to quickly move your selected classes to your schedule.<\/p>\n

The Planner does not guarantee enrollment in classes, and to finalize your enrollment you must move your classes from the Planner to your schedule during your registration time.<\/p>\n

Add classes to the Planner<\/span> by selecting the\u00a0Academics<\/em>\u00a0tab then\u00a0Registration<\/em>. Select the appropriate\u00a0Semester and Year<\/em>, then\u00a0Register for Class<\/em>. Select the\u00a0Planner<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Add<\/em>\u00a0option, then select\u00a0Semester Classes<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Move classes to your schedule<\/span> by accessing the\u00a0Planner<\/em>\u00a0and marking the classes you wish to add, then clicking\u00a0Add Classes to Schedule<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If you did not use the Planner, simply make your class selections then add them directly to your schedule.<\/p>\n

If advising is required by your school, you will need to obtain an Academic Advising Code (AAC) before registration begins.<\/p>\n

Classes:<\/th>\nLists all the classes you have taken, and the respective grade you received for each.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Grades:<\/th>\nDisplays course grades for a selected semester.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
External Credits and Test Scores:<\/th>\nIncludes scores from entrance and placement tests.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Transcript Preview:<\/th>\nDisplays an unofficial copy of your transcript.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Academic Summary:<\/th>\nIncludes your academic status, program information, overview of semester report, registration status, and advisor\u2019s name. Previous semester information is available.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

View demographic data on your record (Birth Date, Gender, Ethnicity, Marital Status, Religion, Employment, Country of Citizenship, and Visa\u2014if applicable), as well as who has the right to access your records.
