{"id":790,"date":"2014-08-26T09:25:19","date_gmt":"2014-08-26T13:25:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/?page_id=790"},"modified":"2024-06-04T14:44:34","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T18:44:34","slug":"sharelink","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/academics\/ferpa\/sharelink\/","title":{"rendered":"ShareLink Access"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--Using the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/studentlink\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student Link<\/a>, students can sponsor a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/link\/bin\/uiscgi_studentlink.pl\/1418220609?ModuleName=sharelink\/start.pl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ShareLink<\/a> login account and grant, revise, or remove viewer access to three key pieces of their record: academic transcript, proof of enrollment, and Student Accounting Services invoice.\n\n[collapsible heading=\"Student Instructions\" ]\n\nLog in to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/studentlink\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Student Link<\/a>, click the \u201cPersonal\u201d tab, and select \u201cShareLink Access\u201d under \u201cManage Access to Your Academic Information.\u201d\n\n<strong>To add a viewer<\/strong> (parent\/guardian, employer, insurance representative, loan officer, etc.):\n\n\n<ol>\n\t\n\n<li>Enter the required information for the individual, then click \u201cSUBMIT.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li>Read the viewer confirmation message, then click \u201cCONFIRM.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li>Select an end date from the drop-down menu for only the view(s) you wish to share, then click \u201cSUBMIT.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\t\n\n<li>Please review the access confirmation message. You will also receive a confirmation email for your records, and an email with further instructions will be sent to the viewer.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<strong>To add another viewer<\/strong>, simply click \u201cAdd new Viewer\u201d on the ShareLink Access page.\n\n<strong>To revise an end date<\/strong> for an existing viewer, click \u201cRevise End Date\u201d beside the view you wish to change. Select the appropriate\u00a0end date from the drop-down menu, then click \u201cConfirm.\u201d\n\n<strong>To\u00a0add more views<\/strong> for an existing viewer, click \u201cadd more views\u201d under the appropriate viewer. Select the\u00a0end date from the drop-down menu, then click \u201cSUBMIT.\u201d\n\n<strong>To\u00a0remove access<\/strong> from an existing viewer, click \u201cRemove Access\u201d beside the view you wish to revoke, then click \u201cConfirm.\u201d\u00a0 You will be required to re-enter your Kerberos login and password.\n\n[\/collapsible]\n\n[collapsible heading=\"Viewer Instructions\" ]\n\nWhen the student grants you access, you will receive an email notification with information on completing your BU web account registration; click the link provided to proceed.\n\nEnter the required information. You will need the BU ID for the student who has granted you access.\n\nRead the BU Conditions of Use and Policy on Computing Ethics, and click \u201cAccept these conditions and create account\u201d to complete the web account registration.
