The primary schools in the Cross Registration consortium are Boston College, Brandeis University, Tufts University, and Hebrew College.<\/p>\n<p>Students must obtain four authorization signatures to complete Cross Registration:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Home Registrar&#8217;s signature to verify matriculation and good standing<\/li>\n<li>Advisor&#8217;s or dean&#8217;s signature to verify departmental authorization<\/li>\n<li>Course instructor&#8217;s signature<\/li>\n<li>Host Registrar&#8217;s signature<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Fall Semester Registration<strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Cross registration applications for standard Fall 2024 semester courses will be accepted from <strong>August 19, 2024 through September 16, 2024.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">BU Students<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Policy<\/h4>\n<p>Both full-time and part-time degree candidates at BU are eligible to cross-register at Boston College, Brandeis University, Tufts University*, Hebrew College, and MIT.**<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only matriculated students are eligible for Cross Registration.<\/li>\n<li>Students must maintain University Compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Students may cross-register for only <strong>one <\/strong>course per semester.<\/li>\n<li>Students simultaneously enrolled in a BU degree program and in a degree program at another school are not eligible for cross-registration through the Boston Area Consortia<\/li>\n<li>Cross Registration is <strong>not <\/strong>available during summer semesters.<\/li>\n<li>Students will be charged by BU.<\/li>\n<li>Full-time students who exceed 18 credits per semester will be charged at the standard part-time tuition rate.<\/li>\n<li>Part-time students will be charged the standard part-time tuition rate.<\/li>\n<li>Grades will be forwarded to BU by the host institution at the conclusion of the semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*Students may not register for classes at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.<br \/>\n**Graduate students are eligible to apply to take courses through the <a title=\"Graduate Consortium in Women\u2019s Studies (GCWS) at MIT\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/registration\/consortia\/gcws\/\">Graduate Consortium in Women\u2019s Studies at MIT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>BU students, while registered for a course at a consortium college or university, who find it necessary to withdraw from the University will follow the tuition refund schedule appropriate for their school or college at BU.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Procedure<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtain a <a href=\"\/reg\/files\/2022\/01\/Cross-Registration-Petition-1.pdf\">Cross Registration Petition<\/a><a href=\"\/reg\/files\/2022\/01\/Cross-Registration-Petition.pdf\"><\/a> from the Office of the University Registrar (881 Commonwealth Avenue, Second Floor) or from the host institution.<\/li>\n<li>Your advisor or dean, the BU Registrar\u2019s Office, and the host institution\u2019s registrar\u2019s office <strong>must<\/strong> sign the completed Cross Registration Petition.<\/li>\n<li>The copy of the signed Cross Registration Petition <strong>must <\/strong>be submitted to <strong>both<\/strong> the BU Registrar\u2019s Office and the host institution\u2019s registrar\u2019s office for official registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SPH students wishing to cross register at another institution must obtain SPH registrar signature approval prior to registration. Contact the School of Public Health Registrar\u2019s Office at <a href=\"mailto:sphregr@bu.edu\">sphregr@bu.edu<\/a> or 617-358-3434.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Non-BU Students<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Policy<\/h4>\n<p>Both full-time and part-time degree candidates are eligible to cross-register from Boston College, Brandeis University, Tufts University, Hebrew College, and MIT.*<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Only matriculated students are eligible for Cross Registration.<\/li>\n<li>Students must have or obtain a BU identification card and a BU email address by their second class meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Students must maintain University Compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Students may cross-register for only <strong>one <\/strong>course per semester.<\/li>\n<li>Students may <strong>not<\/strong> register for LAW, MED-MD, SDM, PDP, EOP, or online courses.<\/li>\n<li>Cross Registration is <strong>not <\/strong>available during summer semesters.<\/li>\n<li>Students will be charged by their home institution.<\/li>\n<li>Grades will be forwarded from BU to the home institution at the conclusion of the semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*Students from MIT who are majoring in economics or political science may cross-register for African-American Studies only.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"margin-bottom: 0px;\">Procedure<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtain a\u00a0<a href=\"\/reg\/files\/2022\/01\/Cross-Registration-Petition-1.pdf\">Cross Registration Petition<\/a> from your home institution or from the BU Registrar\u2019s Office (881 Commonwealth Avenue, Second Floor).<\/li>\n<li>Your home school advisor or dean, and the BU course instructor,\u00a0<strong>must<\/strong> sign the completed Cross Registration Petition.<\/li>\n<li>You <strong>must<\/strong> then submit the signed Cross Registration Petition to the BU Registrar\u2019s Office for official registration.<\/li>\n<li>You <strong>must<\/strong> submit a copy of the petition to your home institution, as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students wishing to cross-register for a course in the School of Public Health (SPH) must contact an SPH representative for registration approval.
