If the Proof of Enrollment document requires information not considered directory information, or if the student has requested a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/reg\/academics\/ferpa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">privacy preference<\/a>, a written request, along with a release signed by the student, is required before the document can be processed.<\/p>\n<p><b>Even after graduation, privacy preferences remain in effect.<\/b> As an example: If a student has restricted the release of directory information, the Office of the University Registrar will not confirm enrollment or degrees earned to prospective employers or any other party without the student\u2019s permission.
