Shipley Professor in Information Systems\t\t<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-amp-profile-bio\">\n\t<p>Chrysanthos (Chris) Dellarocas is Associate Provost for Digital Learning &amp; Innovation at Boston University and Richard C. Shipley Professor of Management at the Questrom School of Business. He is one of the world\u2019s most cited scholars in the fields of online reputation and social media and has consulted on these subjects for corporations and the U.S. Federal Government. As Associate Provost of Digital Learning &amp; Innovation, Dellarocas leads the advancement of activities that enhance education at Boston University through the strategic use of digital technologies. Central to these efforts are a series of critical collaborations across BU\u2019s 17 schools and colleges that ensure the alignment of digital strategies and the introduction of new technologies that further the University\u2019s progress as a 21st Century global research institution. <\/p>\n<p>He holds Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Prior to his appointment at Boston University in 2009, he taught at MIT\u2019s Sloan School of Management and at the R.H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
