Sahil Narkhede\u2019s graduate school goals were specific\u2014expand his technical and leadership skills, and land a spot in a leadership development program at a large pharmaceutical company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe MBA+ MSDT at Questrom was the perfect fit,\u201d he says. \u201cKnowing the importance of digital technology in today\u2019s business environment, I thought an MS in Digital Technology would put me at a competitive advantage in truly understanding how digital technology can be adopted to improve business performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sahil was right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expanded his technology skills by learning more about coding in Python, utilizing cloud infrastructure, and creating machine learning models, along with deeply understanding the current applications of these technologies and their potential in the future. But the highlight of the program for him was a hands-on class project that challenged student teams to create a video game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was an extremely technical project focused on building a product, rather than just analyzing data,\u201d he says. \u201cIt gave me a valuable perspective on the challenges engineers and other technical staff often encounter in building and implementing digital products.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the program, Sahil was achieving his learning objectives. Just weeks before graduation, he met his ultimate goal, when Takeda Pharmaceuticals invited him to join their Commercial Leadership Development Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe dual degree taught me valuable skills essential for today’s managers,\u201d he says. \u201cI achieved my pre-MBA goals and feel prepared to be a leader in the healthcare field. The value of the MSDT program is unparalleled, especially in a post-pandemic world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
