Lauren Kohn is passionate about branding, technology, and sustainability. She found a place where she could combine all three in Questrom\u2019s MBA  MSDT program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI knew my career would always involve tech, and that I would have cross-functional roles, so I wanted to strengthen those skills,\u201d she says. \u201cAlso, being a woman in tech is super powerful and sadly rare, so I felt even more inspired to get that education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a degree in literature, communications, and creative writing from George Washington University, Lauren was a senior account executive with Yelp when she applied to Questrom. She was ready to pivot her career away from sales toward marketing and sustainable business, and she liked the idea of getting two degrees in two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauren got a taste of that new career path during her first year in the dual-degree program. At Boston University\u2019s Institute for Sustainable Energy<\/a>, she conducted research on green infrastructure. At the Coca-Cola Company, she served as a global marketing summer intern. During her time there, she connected with associates from all over the world to create a whitepaper that is helping the company accelerate its sustainability agenda for water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But that\u2019s not all Lauren accomplished during her time at Questrom. On top of keeping up with the rigorous academic demands of the dual-degree program, she managed to get involved with a variety of activities on campus. She served on the board of the Marketing Club and the Women\u2019s MBA Association, joined a case competition team, and participated in four Learning Communities, in Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Digital Technology, and Marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of these experiences, combined with what she learned in class, opened the door to Lauren\u2019s new career. Right after she graduated, she joined the Leadership Rotational Program in Marketing, Commercial, and Positive Play Group at Electronic Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
