Danah Blake joined the Feld Center for Career & Alumni Engagement in July of 2023 as one of the Assistant Directors of Undergraduate Career Development. Danah’s passions are rooted in the world of business and have manifested in different ways throughout her career. She has devoted the early half of her career to professional and workforce development with young people from underrepresented backgrounds. Danah has held a variety of roles within the education and nonprofit sectors. This includes broadening the horizons of individuals on academic and career possibilities. Danah has focused her career on coaching individuals through necessary professional skills and effective communication to help them build relationships and grow their networks. She has also facilitated social-justice-oriented conversations and workshops to support the development of cultural competence in a variety of spaces.

In her role as one of the Undergraduate Career Advisors, Danah supports students through one-on-one advising appointments by hosting resume and cover letter reviews, conducting mock interviews, navigating career exploration, discussing job/internship search strategies, and reviewing offer letters including salary negotiations. Danah also instructs ES courses each semester to promote students’ career development through a curriculum. Additionally, she is the Liaison to the Ascend Fellowship & myQuestrom, oversees DEI initiatives within the Feld Center, and sits on the Questrom CARE (Committee on Anti-Racism and Equity) Team.

Danah received her B.S. in Hospitality, Travel, and Tourism from Johnson and Wales University and has a strong background in customer service with a niche for event planning, program development, and entrepreneurship. She also holds a certificate in Community Leadership and Social Change from Tufts University’s Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life in partnership with The Institute for Nonprofit Practice. She is currently a part-time graduate student pursuing a Social Impact MBA at Boston University. Danah is a plant mom who enjoys live music performances, practicing yoga, and occasionally “glamping” to escape into nature with a journal and a good book!
