Programs and Practices

This course will provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the structure and governance of executive compensation, global trends, and best practices. It would be beneficial for human resource, finance and legal professionals who are seeking a greater understanding of the structure and governance of executive compensation and the contextual influences shaping pay programs and practices.

Participants will develop skills and knowledge in the key areas of executive compensation design and governance, including:

  • The various forms of executive compensation and the linkage of executive incentives and business strategy, talent management and performance.
  • Governance of executive pay and working with the compensation committee and board of directors on the design of pay programs, compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and disclosure of executive pay.
  • Multi-stakeholder views of pay and the impact of external influencers on compensation design.
  • Best practices and global trends in executive compensation, including gender pay equity and calls for pay to incorporate a focus on DE&I, ESG, and corporate social responsibility.
