Course Requirements

The MBA+ MS in Product Design & Manufacture dual degree program is intended to be completed in conjunction with the full-time MBA program. When completed in this way, a total of 80 credits is required to complete the dual degree. Students must take 40 credits in residency at the Questrom School of Business. For courses counted toward the MS portion of this degree, students must complete 32 credits. The remaining 8 credits can be taken at either Questrom or the College of Engineering (ENG). Students interested in the Professional Evening MBA program may apply for this dual degree, but should be aware that the engineering courses are completed as daytime courses only. Completed in this fashion, the MBA+ MS in Product Design & Manufacture is 72 credits, including 32 Questrom credits, 32 ENG credits, and 8 credits taken in either Questrom or ENG.

Courses for the MBA must be completed with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.7 (B−), and courses for the MS portion must be completed with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 (B). Candidates admitted to this dual degree program will work with advisors at both Questrom and the Department of Mechanical Engineering to plan their curriculum. For completion of the dual degree, students must be in compliance with time limits set by each school. Questrom and ENG require that joint degree requirements be completed within six years of matriculation.
