Alum Yudha Pratama Situmorang’s Education Platform named 2024 Poets & Quants Most Disruptive MBA Start-Up

Indonesian educational platform, Skuling, founded by Yudha Pratama Situmorang, MBA’24, is being recognized as a 2024 Poets & Quants Most Disruptive MBA Startups. Indonesia ranks 77th in Mathematics, 74th in Science, and 73rd in Reading out of 80 countries, according to the PISA study. Low academic performance among many other educational challenges faced in Indonesia is what Skuling aims to overcome in order to help learners reach their academic goals. Skuling has raised $100,000 in funding and its user base has grown to 110,000.
“My passion for launching this venture stems from my personal experience with the transformative power of education,” Yudha says. “As someone who grew up in a small Indonesian city, I was fortunate to study at one of the country’s top universities, namely Padjadjaran University and later with a full ride scholarship from our government at Boston University, a world-renowned institution. This journey profoundly changed my life trajectory.”
