‘Minutes,’ By Kenneth Woanyah, Creating Social Impact Through Music And Art
August 23, 2023
Kenneth Woanyah MBA (Questrom’24) is hosting a brand-new event called ‘Minutes’, on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 from 5PM-8PM, at 730 Commonwealth Ave which will present concepts like overcoming adversities, partnerships, women’s empowerment, hope, and victory through the performance of music, poetry, and true stories. This is a unique opportunity for business professionals, creatives, and artists to gather, network, and share ideas.
‘Minutes’ is a pun referencing both ‘meeting minutes’ and the minutes needed to master an artistic craft. The event will comprise of two sessions with opening features from current Questrom students. The main focus will be on a storytelling session with poetry, vocals, and Kenneth on the piano. After the performances, there will be a networking session with refreshments.
Kenneth Woanyah (Questrom’24), originally from Ghana, describes himself as a “Connector,” someone who gets satisfaction from pointing people in the right direction. “I see my work as an opportunity to provide solutions to stubborn problems. While financial motivations exist, I also find meaning in understanding the ‘why’ behind my work so I can provide real value,” he says. Kenneth is a business and innovation strategist at Schneider Electric, founder of TuneAudit, music instruction company, and amazing pianist.
The idea for Minutes was conceived last year during which Kenneth was in an economics class called Organizations, Markets, and Society. He was very impressed with Professor Michael Salinger’s method of introducing topics through music and thought he could wield his own musical skills for a similar result: a live event series that combines music, business, and education with potential to expand into webinars, podcasts, and workshops.
Kenneth is excited to bring together his networks in both the artistic and business worlds.
