Two Questrom Undergrads Make Poets & Quants’ 2020 Best & Brightest List

Seniors Kristin John and Brian Harrison recognized as stellar standouts from a nationwide pool of nominees.

Since 2016, the annual Poets & Quants Best & Brightest list has honored 100 of the most accomplished seniors who majored in business, representing “the catalysts who inspire action, the innovators who unleash talent, and the dreamers who scrap their vision into reality.” While COVID-19 may have disrupted this semester, Questrom students like Brian Harrison (Questrom’20) and Kristin John (Questrom’20) embody those very qualities. They’re resilient, curious, and have immense potential—and they’re as motivated as ever.

Brian is majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Management Information Systems. After graduation, he plans to work for Ernst & Young in their Boston office. He’s in the Questrom Honors Program, an avid volunteer, the VP of Student Affairs for the Questrom Student Government, and a first-generation college student. “My parents have done an incredible job putting me in a position where I could be successful,” he says. “Being a first-generation college student is something that I take a lot of pride in. Knowing how hard my parents had to work to get me to where I am today is something that I’ll always be grateful for.”

Kristin is a Business Administration and Economics double major, with a minor in African American Studies, eager to pursue a career in ESG & Impact Investing post-graduation. She’s also in the Questrom Honors Program, is a Scarlet Speaker for the Boston University Admissions Office, and is a Questrom Ascend Fellowship mentor. She interned in Boston, Salt Lake City, London, and Ahmedabad, India, and she’s eager to further her global mindset. “I want to work and live abroad, perhaps in India or the U.K. again! Not only is there is so much to be gained from international work experiences, but I would like to expand my impact outside the boundaries of my home and comfort zone.”
