According to the most recent UT Dallas Rankings, Questrom now ranks among the Top 10 schools in the world based on the number of articles published in leading marketing journals, including Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science between 2017–2019.
UTD compiles a running list of publications by universities, looks at output over a three-year window, and ranks them based on the school’s research contribution. Last cycle (2014–2016), Questrom was ranked #69 in the world—this year, Questrom sits at #10, a jump of 59 spots in just three years.
With 15 peer-reviewed articles spread across the top four marketing journals (up from 8 last cycle), Questrom continues to conduct research with a real-world impact. “This is a testament to our efforts over the past five years to hire and retain outstanding individuals in this field,” says Susan Fournier, Allen Questrom Professor and Dean. “One of our key focus areas at Questrom is to deepen our reputation as a preeminent academic institution producing research that matters. This new ranking validates the innovative thought leadership happening in our Marketing Department and its significance in contemporary marketing research.”
