When You\u2019re Hired, Learn The Organization.<\/strong> \u201cStart to build a network around the firm, with people in all parts of the firm that you\u2019re going to need to have relationships with to do your job effectively. Be intellectually curious. Be eager to take on more. Work hard. Show up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Own Your Mistakes.<\/strong> \u201cBe up front, share bad news early, don\u2019t surprise people. Don\u2019t be defensive. It\u2019s how you handle it, not the fact that you\u2019re going to make mistakes, because everybody does.\u201d<\/p>\n
