Whether you are a prospective undergraduate or graduate student, alumni or colleague, you should be able to find what you are looking for on this site.\u00a0Please don&#8217;t hesitate to <a href=\"\/psych\/contact-us\/\"><strong>contact us<\/strong><\/a> with any questions.<\/p>\n<p>PBS faculty study a variety of topics including genetics, brain processes, animal learning, child development, psychopathology, cognition, perception, attention, memory, decision-making, cognitive control, addiction, anxiety, depression, autism, social interactions and behavioral interventions. Through our work, we attempt to discover principles and develop theory that increase our understanding of individuals and social groups and apply this knowledge to improving health and well-being.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6036\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6036\" style=\"width: 436px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/psych\/files\/2022\/10\/FACULTY.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"426\" height=\"258\" class=\"wp-image-6036 size-full\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6036\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Our faculty are leaders in their fields.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>PBS offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/psych\/academics\/undergraduate\/\">undergraduate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/psych\/academics\/masters\/\">Master\u2019s<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/psych\/academics\/phd\/\">PhD<\/a> degrees in Psychological &amp; Brain Sciences that are organized around three programmatic areas:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Brain, Behavior &amp; Cognition<\/li>\n<li>Clinical Psychology<\/li>\n<li>Developmental Science<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Our undergraduate program in Psychology is one of the most popular majors within BU\u2019s College of Arts &amp; Sciences. Admission to our PhD program is extremely selective (2-3% admission rate). Our department also supports undergraduate and PhD degrees in Neuroscience in cooperation with interdisciplinary programs.<\/p>\n<p>PBS is highly active in research. Research and research training in the department is supported by a variety of grants including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and private foundations. PBS faculty lead several broad research and clinical centers at BU, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/card\/\">Center for Anxiety &amp; Related Disorders<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/csn\/\">Center for Systems Neuroscience<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/neuroimaging\/\">Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/autism\/\">Center for Autism Research Excellence<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cmb\/\">Center for Memory &amp; Brain<\/a>.
