She is also an Associate Professor of Global Development Policy at Boston University\u2019s Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. She is Graduate Faculty with BU\u2019s Department of Political Science, Associate Director of the Human Capital Initiative at the Global Development Policy Center and affiliated faculty with the Institute for Economic Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Brul\u00e9\u2019s first book,Women, Power, and Property: The Paradox of Gender Equality Laws in India, won the American Political Science Association\u2019s 2021 Luebbert Prize for the Best Book in Comparative Politics. It is published with Cambridge University Press, in the Cambridge Studies in Gender and Politics Series. She has published articles in the Journal of Politics, the Journal of Development Economics, and the Annual Review of Political Science, among others, and has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Ideas for India, India Development Review, Ms. Magazine, and The New Books Network, among other sites. Her research has also been awarded the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA)\u2019s Pi Sigma Alpha Award for Best Paper and Kellogg\/Notre Dame Award for Best Paper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Professor Brul\u00e9 received a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award (2024-2029) for the project \u201cDynamics of Women\u2019s Political &amp; Economic Empowerment: An Open Database Project.\u201d She is delighted to be Lead Co-Editor of the Cambridge University Press book series, Cambridge Studies in Gender &amp; Politics, with Ana Catalano Weeks, with an Editorial Team that also includes Tiffany Barnes, Diana O\u2019Brien, Sol\u00e9dad Prillaman, Dawn Teele, and Jakana Thomas.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":25438,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/73259"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/25438"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/73259\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":73261,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/73259\/revisions\/73261"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=73259"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
