His research agenda centers on performance optimization at both the individual and group levels of analyses. Dr. Filho is particularly interested in studying athletes\u2019 and performers\u2019 Individual Zones of Optimal Functioning and the neural markers of optimal performance. Dr. Filho is also interested in high-performing teams, particularly how cohesion, team mental models, collective efficacy, and intra-team psychophysiological rhythms influence team performance. Dr. Filho has co-edited two books and authored over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters in the field of Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology. Dr. Filho has worked with amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes as well as musicians and performance artists.
