Abraham Matta is\u00a0a professor of computer science at Boston University.\u00a0 His research involves transport and routing protocols for the Internet and\u00a0 wireless networks; feedback-based control design and analysis; architectures for\u00a0 protocol design and large-scale traffic management; modeling and performance evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>He has published over 100 refereed technical papers,\u00a0 and\u00a0was guest co-editor of three special journal issues. He received the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 1997. His current projects include recursive\u00a0 network architectures and formal methods for\u00a0 safe compositions of network services.<\/p>\n<p>He was the Technical Program Chair of the IEEE ICCCN 2011 Track on Network\u00a0 Algorithms and Performance Evaluation, Co-chair of the IEEE Computer Communications Workshop (CCW) 2011, and Co-chair of the NSF\/PNNL CyberCARD\u00a0 2011 Track on Trustworthy Cyber-Physical Systems and Infrastructures. He has served on many program committees, including ICNP, CoNEXT, INFOCOM and MobiCom. He\u00a0was on the Editorial Board of the Computer Networks Journal. His prior service\u00a0 includes General Chair of WiOpt\u00b906, Technical Program Co-chair of ICNP\u00b905,\u00a0 Internet Co-chair of INFOCOM\u00b905,\u00a0 Publication Chair of INFOCOM\u00b903, co-organizer\u00a0 and Technical Program Co-chair of the EU-US NeXtworking\u00b903.
