{"id":58589,"date":"2016-10-24T14:47:45","date_gmt":"2016-10-24T18:47:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/experts\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=58589"},"modified":"2022-06-29T15:02:13","modified_gmt":"2022-06-29T19:02:13","slug":"nalin-kulatilaka-2","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/profile\/nalin-kulatilaka-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Nalin Kulatilaka"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nalin Kulatilaka\u2019s research interests include the role of financial markets in directing investments to clean energy technologies.\u00a0 Professor Kulatilaka has published over 75 papers in scholarly journals and in a wide range of topics real options, economics of business platforms, valuation of early-stage firms, role of energy intermediaries, technology licensing and financial contracting.\u00a0 His book,\u00a0<em>Real Options: Managing Strategic Investment in an Uncertain World,\u00a0<\/em>has received wide acclaim from both academic and practitioner worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Kulatilaka received the Association for Investment Management and Research\u2019s Graham and Dodd Award for the outstanding feature article published in the\u00a0<em>Financial Analysts Journal<\/em>, held the Bertil Danielsson Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics and G\u00f6teborg University in Sweden, and the Tamkang Chair at the Tamkang University in Taiwan.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Kulatilaka actively engages in activities outside academia: He advises corporations and international organizations on a variety of issues relating to financial valuation and technology strategy.\u00a0 He has been a featured speaker at international conferences, is the co-founder of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/firstfuel.com\/\">FirstFuel<\/a>, serves on advisory boards of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.energypoints.com\/\">EnergyPoints<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wattzon.com\/\">WattzOn<\/a>, and the board of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/assette.com\/\">Assette<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":11144,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/58589"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/11144"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/58589\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":71983,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/58589\/revisions\/71983"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/prsocial\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=58589"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
