His lab focuses on the application of metabolic- and immune-cell engineering to rapidly and predictably produce desired properties to treat diseases. As part of this work, Wong\u2019s lab has developed a system of intricate DNA \u201cswitches\u201d that turn mammalian cells into complex biocomputers with applications beyond medicine.
