He has published in numerous journals, including\u00a0<em>Review of International Relations<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Middle Eastern Studies<\/em>,\u00a0<em>East European Quarterly<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Historical Research<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Historical Journal<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Byzantine &amp; Modern Greek Studies,<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0<em>Hague Journal of Diplomacy.<\/em>\u00a0He is the author of\u00a0<em>Winning the Peace: British Diplomatic Strategy, Peace Planning, and the Paris Peace Conference, 1916-1920<\/em>\u00a0(1991);\u00a0<em>Wars and Peace Treaties<\/em>\u00a0(1992); and<em>The First World War\u2019s Peace Settlements: International Relations, 1918 \u2013 1925<\/em>\u00a0(2002, Italian translation, 2004). He has co-edited\u00a0<em>The End of the Cold War<\/em>\u00a0(1990);\u00a0<em>The Washington Conference, 1921-1922: Naval Rivalry, East Asian Stability, and the Road to Pearl Harbor<\/em>\u00a0(1994);\u00a0<em>The Munich Crisis: New Interpretations and the Road to World War II<\/em>\u00a0(1999);\u00a0<em>Power and Stability: British Foreign Policy, 1865-1965 (2003)<\/em>; and the\u00a0<em>Guide to International Relations and Diplomacy<\/em>\u00a0(2002). Professor Goldstein was also the founder-editor of the journal\u00a0<em>Diplomacy &amp; Statecraft<\/em>\u00a0and has served on the editorial board of\u00a0<em>Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies<\/em>, and is currently on the editorial boards of<em>International History Review<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0<em>Hague Journal of Diplomacy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Goldstein is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (of Britain) and a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Global Change and Governance, Rutgers University, having previously served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for the Study of Diplomacy at the University of Leicester (UK).\u00a0 In 2010 he was elected to the Governing Board of the International Baccalaureate. He was previously Professor of International History and Deputy Director for the Centre for Studies in Security and Diplomacy at the University of Birmingham (UK) and has held appointments as Secretary of the Navy Senior Research Fellow at the Naval War College, as Visiting Scholar at the Centre for International Studies at the University of Cambridge, and as Visiting Professor at the University of East Anglia.\u00a0 He has also served as the President of Phi Beta Kappa, Epsilon of Massachusetts.
