He is also a member of the\u00a0Center for Information and Systems Engineering, and the\u00a0Smart Lighting Engineering Research Center. His current research interests concentrate on\u00a0visual sensor networks (camera webs),\u00a0advanced video processing and compression,\u00a0next generation human-computer interfaces, stereoscopic and 3-D imaging,\u00a0multidimensional digital signal processing, and\u00a0biomedical imaging.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently an Associate Editor for the\u00a0IEEE Transactions on Image Processing\u00a0and also an Area Editor for the\u00a0EURASIP Signal Processing: Image Communication. In the past, he was on editorial boards of various journals and on program committees of numerous conferences.<\/p>\n<p>He was recently the General Chair of the 10th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Video and Signal Based Surveillance, AVSS-2013. He is a Tutorials Co-Chair of the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, ICIP-2015.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Konrad has been a consultant for a number of law firms, and among them Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe LLP, New York, NY and Washington, DC;\u00a0Day, Casebeer, Madrid and Batchelder LLP, Cupertino; CA, Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, Atlanta, GA; and Sherr &amp; Nourse PLLC, Herndon, VA.
