Interfolio was adopted by BU in AY 2024\/25, and the entire tenure and promotion process will be conducted within the system starting in Academic Year 2025\/26.<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Why are we changing? Why Interfolio?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Need for universal system for case assembly and review<\/li>\n<li>Much of the process was conducted by emailing materials, which is not sustainable or secure<\/li>\n<li>Interfolio is a well-respected vendor in higher ed and is used by many of our peer institutions (notably The Ohio State University)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">What is not changing?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AY 2024\/25 Promotion to Full Professor cases will still be submitted\/reviewed using our old process<\/li>\n<li>AY 2024\/25 T&amp;P to Associate Professor cases will still be submitted\/reviewed using our old process up until submission to Provost\u2019s Office<\/li>\n<li>Tenure and promotion requirements will remain the same<\/li>\n<li>Forms and templates will remain the same for now<\/li>\n<li>Department\/College meeting and voting practices will still be handled by those individual units<\/li>\n<li>Deadlines set by Faculty Handbook will remain the same<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<br \/>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">What is changing?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting with AY 2025\/26 cases, cases will be submitted\/reviewed entirely within Interfolio\n<ul>\n<li>Submission of candidates\u2019 application materials<\/li>\n<li>External letter solicitation\/collection process<\/li>\n<li>Automated dossier assembly<\/li>\n<li>Centralization\/standardization of review workflow<\/li>\n<li>Review of dossiers<\/li>\n<li>Upload of reports (Chair, APT, Dean, UAPT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Where can I go for help?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/provost\/faculty-affairs\/interfolio\/interfolio-instructions-for-faculty-candidates\/\">Faculty Candidates<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/provost\/faculty-affairs\/interfolio\/interfolio-instructions-for-committees\/\">Departmental Faculty or Committee Members<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/provost\/faculty-affairs\/interfolio\/interfolio-instructions-for-chairs-and-deans\/\">Chairs and Deans<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/provost\/faculty-affairs\/interfolio\/interfolio-instructions-for-staff\/\">Administrators<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Interfolio?
