The Last Taboo Film Screening

  • Starts: 5:15 pm on Friday, April 19, 2013
  • Ends: 7:30 pm on Friday, April 19, 2013
The BU Student Occupational Therapy Association is holding a FREE FILM SCREENING of The Last Taboo, an independent film about sexuality and disability, a topic which is seldom discussed in the media or the classroom. The film will be followed by a Q&A by the director, Alexander Freeman. The Last Taboo explores the themes of health, sexuality, disability, film, awareness and more! "The Last Taboo tells the gripping and heart-warming story of six people with various physical disabilities and an able-bodied partner who was in a relationship with one of them. These individuals share their perspectives on intimacy, relationships and what their experiences have taught them about themselves. The Last Taboo asks us to to step outside of our comfort zones in order to reconsider our misconceptions regarding disability, identity, gender, attraction, beauty and sexuality."
