- Ends: 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2013
The second of Corrine Jaber's lectures at Boston University. Jaber directed Shakespeare's "Love's Labour's Lost" in Afghanistan in 2005 and 2006 - the first Shakespeare play performed in Afghanistan since the Soviet invasion in 1979. In 2012 she directed "The Comedy of Errors" (again in Dari and again with the Roy-E-Sabs Theatre Company) for the Global Theatre's "Globe to Globe" International Festival. In addition to directing, Jaber has acted in "The Mahabharata," "Henry VIII," and "Frozen." She was awarded the Moliere Prize in 2001 as Best Actress for "Une bete sur la lune." The event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Department of English and the BU Center for the Humanities.
