Survive and Thrive as a Law Firm Associate

  • Starts: 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012
MassDLA Young Lawyers Division and the Suffolk University Law School’s Office of Professional & Career Development Present: Survive and Thrive as a Law Firm Associate Hear from a panel of partners, and then separately from a panel of experienced associates, about the keys to surviving and thriving as an associate in a law firm. The moderator will ask the panel of partners in area law firms a series of questions about what they look for in a successful associate, and how to be a successful associate. The panel of partners will then leave the room, and be replaced by a panel of experienced associates. The moderator will ask the associates to discuss their experiences as young associates, how best to work with demanding partners, and how to thrive in a law firm environment. Each panel will take questions directly from the audience as well. This is a great opportunity to learn from partners and associates about their experiences and expectations while working in a law firm. This program will provide valuable information and insights for associates in their first few years of practice or law students considering careers in law firms.
