Future of Staff Work Survey – An Invitation to Participate

Earlier this semester, President Brown created the Committee on the Future of Staff Work at Boston University with the charge of proposing recommendations for post-COVID University-wide policies for remote and flexible staff work, which will be considered by University leadership. The voice of staff plays a critical role in the committee’s work, as does the assessment by managers of the impact of remote work.

Toward that end, on Tuesday, May 4, all University staff members will be invited to participate in a survey about the future of staff work at BU. Faculty members who directly supervise staff will also be invited to take the survey. The anonymous survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete and will be accessible for two weeks from Tuesday, May 4, through Monday, May 17.

The committee will consider the survey results, in addition to data including external benchmarking and analyses of workplace trends, as it develops recommendations. Once the survey results have been compiled, a summary of findings will be shared with the campus community.

Please take a moment to complete the anonymous survey. Your voice is important as the University considers potential policies associated with the future of remote and flexible work.
