Taking these examinations prior to the completion of the coursework on a \u201ctry-out\u201d basis is strongly discouraged and rarely fulfills any useful purpose. \u00a0These skills cannot be developed overnight. It is essential to carefully plan your studying for these tests by first identifying the broad areas that need to be strengthened and then organizing your time appropriately.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">AAMC PREview<sup>&#x2122;<\/sup> Professional Readiness Exam<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"content-panel\" id=\"post-1908\">\n<p><span>A situational judgement test (SJT) that is a\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<span>standardized exam designed to help admissions officers assess your readiness to learn about issues related to professionalism in medical school.<\/span>\u201d \u00a0<span>A limited amount of allopathic medical schools currently require applicants to complete the AAMC PREview<sup>&#x2122;<\/sup> standardized testing programs.<\/p>\n<p>You must register or retrieve a DENTPIN from <strong>www.ada.org<\/strong> and use it to proceed with your application to a dental education program or application service, your application to test, or your score report request.<\/p>\n<p><span>It is important that individuals authorize the forwarding of the DAT results to the Preprofessional Advising Behavior<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We recommend applicants incorporate the following courses, in addition to the traditional premedical curriculum, into their curricula at some point before taking the exam:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A course in Statistics \u2013 MA 113, 115, 116, 213, 214, EC 305, NE 212, or PS 211.<\/li>\n<li>An introductory course in Psychology \u2013 PS 101 for students without a strong background in Psychology or PS 261 for students with a strong background in Psychology.<\/li>\n<li>An introductory course in Sociology \u2013 SO 100 or SO 215<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>There are
