He published in various journals including <em>World Politics, Review of International Studies, International Organization<\/em>, and <em>Millennium<\/em>. He was the author\/editor of nine books including <em>The Global Covenant: Human Conduct in a World of States and Quasi-States: Sovereignty, International Relations and the Third World<\/em>. He also co-authored a textbook: <em>Introduction to International Relations<\/em>. While at BU, he worked on two new books: <em>Sovereignty: History of an Idea<\/em> and <em>The International Ethics of Security<\/em> (co-editor). He was a Visiting Fellow at Jesus College, Oxford University, The London School of Economics and Political Science, and the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. He served on the editorial boards of <em>Political Studies, International Relations, European Journal of International Relations<\/em> and <em>Humanistic Perspectives on International Relations<\/em>.
