She is the author of five books \u2014 most recently\u00a0<\/span><em><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenwood.com\/catalog\/C7769.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">School Desegregation in the 21st Century<\/a><\/span><\/em><span>,\u00a0<\/span><cite><span><a href=\"http:\/\/pioneerinstitute.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">Bilingual Education in Massachusetts<\/a><\/span><\/cite><span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><cite><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0877229244\/qid=101596003\/si=1-1\/ref=sr_1_\/102-3111242-1916121\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">The Carrot or the Stick for School Desegregation<\/a><\/span><\/cite><span>\u00a0\u2014 and hundreds of scholarly articles and reports in the areas of school desegregation and bilingual education policy. \u00a0She has been a consultant to and\/or expert witness in more than 80 educational equity court cases, and has helped design and defend 13 magnet-voluntary desegregation plans.
