He is an associate professor. He is also the faculty director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ioc\/metrobridge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">MetroBridge<\/a>, an applied policy research program that brings local government work into BU courses, a co-PI on the [surveyofmayors.com]Menino Survey of Mayors with BU\u2019s Initiative on Cities, and a Fellow at the <a href=\"https:\/\/thepolicylab.brown.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">Policy Lab @ Brown<\/a>.\u00a0 He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Politics at Princeton University and was previously a visiting fellow at the Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth College.\u00a0 His research and teaching interests in American Politics include political institutions, especially law and courts, local politics and policy, and policy information. He is the co-author of the book \u201cNeighborhood Defenders: Participatory Politics and America\u2019s Housing Crisis\u201d with Cambridge University Press.
