She is a CSSN Scholar and a 2024 recipient of BU Women\u2019s Council Award. She has earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in World Politics from Leiden University\u2019s honors program (LUC The Hague: Global Challenges), and her master\u2019s degrees in Political Science from both the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Boston University.\u00a0Her research agenda stems from the compounding effects of geography, history and identity on people\u2019s lived experience of climate injustices.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Lior\u2019s PhD dissertation approaches global climate change through the lenses of kinship and grievability, bridging the insights of critical feminist and decolonial scholarship, ecological jurisprudence, and the Andean cosmovision. The theoretical framework of the research is supported by fieldwork across Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia, studying the Rights of Nature legislative battles and their advocates in the region.
