Emma Zheng joined the Department of Political Science in April 2021 as the Undergraduate Academic Advisor, having previously worked at BU’s Office of the Provost for three years. She graduated with her B.A. in Geosciences with a Studio Art minor from Hamilton College in 2016, and her Ed.M. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from BU Wheelock in 2020. As a proud first-generation student, Emma is passionate about increasing access and success in education.
Emma is the primary point of contact for all Political Science majors and minors, as well as other students who are interested in seeking advice in courses and programs within the department. Besides offering consultation on courses and programs, she also provides guidance on navigating the University’s General Education Program (BU Hub), as well as guiding students in realizing their academic, career, and life goals.
During her free time, Emma enjoys baking, yoga, running, and going on hikes with her German Shepherd Pyrenees mix, Bailey.
