See Me! A Conversation with the Author, Prof. Alvarez-Hernandez

Boston University School of Social Work is proud to host a book talk and reception featuring the author, BUSSW Assistant Professor Luis Alvarez-Hernandez, and the photographer Nys Sanchez as they share the compelling life stories of gay and trans men living in South Texas featured in "See Me! Gay and Trans Latinos' Testimonios on Mental Health, Discrimination, and Joy in South Texas." Prof. Alvarez-Hernandez will read from the book and join photographer Nys Sanchez for a conversation moderated by Dr. Carlos Rodriguez-Diaz from BU School of Public Health. A reception with light refreshments will follow. PROGRAM: 5:30-7:00 pm l Reading & Conversation (Hybrid) 7-8:00 pm l Reception (In-Person) The first 15 registrants will receive a free copy of the book. The books will also be available for purchase at the reception and for signing by the author and photographer. Please register for details!
