In conjunction with guest professionals from the Boston area, Michael produces and directs four mainstage and four black box productions each year showcasing the talents of his 150 theatre students. In 2008 and 2010, respectively, Michael\u2019s productions of Brian Friel\u2019s\u00a0<em>Dancing at Lughnasa <\/em>and Arthur Kopit\u2019s\u00a0<em>Chamber Music<\/em> were named the Massachusetts High School Drama Guild\u2019s State Finals Winner. In 2009, Michael earned his MFA in Playwriting from Boston University under the instruction of Richard Schotter, Melinda Lopez, Ron\u00e1n Noone, and Kate Snodgrass. His full-length comedy <em>Five Down One Across <\/em>premiered at Boston Playwrights\u2019 Theater in October 2010.
