Applications are open for the 2026-27 academic year. <u>The application deadline is December 15, 2025.<\/u><\/p>\n<p>To apply, complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/cas\/admissions\/phd-mfa\/apply\/\">Graduate School of Arts &amp; Sciences Admissions Application<\/a>. When you fill out this application, indicate that your intended course of study is the graduate MFA Playwriting Program.<\/p>\n<p>As part of your application, the Playwriting Program requires that you submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>One original full-length play (approx. 60 pages or more). We are looking for writers who demonstrate an adept use of language, a strong sense of theatricality, and a facility for character-driven dramatic action.<\/li>\n<li>Three (3) letters of recommendation.
