This BU tradition includes throwing over 40 pumpkins stuffed with various fillings such as baked beans, ketchup, relish, peas and even saut\u00e9ed mushrooms off of the roof of the Metcalf Science Center. This was the messiest year to date, with bits of pumpkins and fillings splattering into the crowd. All pumpkins and fillings are composted by BU Sustainability. This year we had the pleasure of being joined at this event by our BU President Melissa Gilliam, pictured speaking with Emeritus Professor Claudio Rebbi (photo attributed to Paul
