Cameron Coburn: Probing the Renormalization-Group Domain Wall between Minimal Models

Renormalization group domain walls (“RG branes”) are a way to learn about the relation between different quantum theories. D. Gaiotto made an explicit, algebraic proposal for the RG brane between two conformal field theory minimal models. We construct this RG brane and compute two-point functions in the presence of it. We use density matrix renormalization group methods to verify our calculations numerically on the lattice. A connection can be made to an experimental realization through topological superconductors.
