Wine Level 2: A Comprehensive Survey of Wine

Description

This course goes into greater depth than Level 1 and is a prerequisite for Levels 3 and 4. Students passing this course will attain proficiency in the field of wine. This intensive survey covers each of the world's most important geographic areas and includes comprehensive comparative tastings. There are 14 3-hour classes; the final exam includes a tasting component. Prerequisite: none, but Level 1 recommended.

REQUIRED TEXT: World Atlas of Wine, 7th Edition. Johnson & Robinson

WINE GLASSES: Students are required to purchase wine glasses, which are available for purchase for $20 on the first day of class. You may pay cash, check, or credit card to your instructor.
