Det sur obligation, le defendant monstra que l' obligation fuit endorce sur tiel condicion, que si le defendant garde le plaintiff sans damage vers 7
Process and Pleading
Defendant pleaded that the obligation was endorsed on such a condition that if defendant kept plaintiff without damage against a lord knight of 10 pounds of which plaintiff was obliged to defendant in two obligations that then this obligation would be void, and defendant pleaded that plaintiff was not damaged by the lord knight for the 10 pounds.
Plaintiff demurred on the plea because the condition was impossible and thus void.
Choke JCP was of the same opinion.
Defendant prayed advice.
Bryan CJCP said that it was a bad case.

Abstract Context
Commentary & Paraphrase
Sjt Calow (for P): it seems that the condition is void, because as it appears the lord (knight) had nothing to do with the obligations, nor could have by any possibility, so the condition was impossible, and thus void
