Language Notes (Law French)
Sjt Hals: Oye le fait del graunt del reversion
Abstract Context
Commentary & Paraphrase
Alice leased to defendant for a term of life. Alice then granted the reversion to plaintiff.
Sjt Lodington: If the lessor had ousted her life tenant, and then had made feoffment to plaintiff, and the life tenant had entered again on plaintiff after the feoffment, and had committed waste, plaintiff would not have this action, and this was said by all the Court.
The point of this report seemed to be a hypothetical situation asserted by Sjt Lodington and agreed upon by the Court.
