Abstract Context
Commentary & Paraphrase
Note that in an Attaint the summons was returned etc., but the summonses of the jurors, as it should be in an Assize of Novel disseisin, (Latin begins) Summon the names of the pledges (Latin ends), were not put to mainprise, and so by reason of that default, their mainpernors were not put on the back of the writ, as it should be by force of the writ. Nothing else was awarded but a summons sicut alias, so this day lost by negligence of the sheriff.
