First Fridays at the BU Arts Initiative

Join the BU Arts Initiative Student Advisory Council on Friday, February 7 from 4:30-6pm for our monthly First Friday event. Weaving & Waffles: We're partnering with Weaving for Wellness, a new initiative from the CFA School of Visual Arts. Learn how to weave with their staff while enjoying some delicious food from Zinneken's and other light refreshments. All supplies & food provided on a first come first serve basis. Gallery Reception: Camilla Satte (CAS '20) "Trompe-l’œil is a quite popular art technique that most artists use to create optical illusions of two-dimensional object appear as three-dimensional but my artworks work in a reverse direction. The aim of my works is to collapse the depth and make three-dimensional objects, humans and their surroundings, into flat two-dimensional paintings. The photographs are depicting the real life people to appear as painted portraits on canvas."
