The BU Global Film Series: Celebrating Global Diversity at BU project was conceived to provide a fun and informative platform for cross-cultural dialogue at BU. The screening will be facilitated by a BU expert with deep knowledge of the subject matter and country of the selected film. Suzhou River (Chinese: 苏州河; pinyin: Sūzhōu Hé) is a 2000 film by Lou Ye about a tragic love story set in contemporary Shanghai. Only open to BU community.
The format for the Global Film Series project is in 2 parts:
1) 5 films will be screened on 5 days from 5 different countries during International Education Week when BU celebrates all things global; and
2) Each screening will be facilitated by an expert - a BU faculty or staff member with deep knowledge of the subject matter and country of the selected film. |
