Volcanic Wines Of Italy

Summary

Volcanic Wines Of Italy

Description

Do volcanic soils and expositions make “volcanic” wine? Bill Nesto MW and Frances Di Savino, co-authors of The World of Sicilian Wine, discuss the lore and mythology surrounding vinous volcanos – including basic volcanology, the volcanic wine regions throughout Italy, and their vibrant wines. Attendees will taste the wines of Mount Etna, the Lipari islands, and Pantelleria island in Sicily, Mount Vulture in Basilicata, the Province of Avellino (Taurasi, Fiano, and Greco wines) and Ischia island in Campania, and Soave in the Veneto. It is sure to be a dynamic tour and tasting.
