The talk focuses on proficiency outcomes of world language students in the U.S. at different levels of instruction. After a brief overview of the fundamentals of proficiency and performance testing, we'll discuss results of a number of initiatives to measure linguistic performance of students from elementary to post-secondary levels, as well as the pedagogical implications of these results. |
