Facebook LIVE: Infectious diseases discussion with Nahid Bhadelia and WBUR’s Carey Goldberg

What do you want to know about infectious diseases – both in the United States and on a global scale? Nahid Bhadelia, infectious diseases physician and director of infection control at the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory (NEIDL), will be going LIVE with Carey Goldberg, health and science reporter and host of WBUR's CommonHealth section, on April 25 at 11:30 a.m. ET. Nahid and Carey will be discussing the intersection between public health preparedness, research and clinical care for emerging pathogens. Specifically, Nahid can discuss: 1) Her research focusing on identification of safe and effective clinical interventions and infection control measures related to infectious diseases. 2)The West African Ebola epidemic – and her experiences and learnings from serving as a clinician in several Ebola treatment units (working with World Health Organization and Partners in Health). 3) Emerging infectious diseases both in the United States and around the world – and best practices for protection, prevention and treatment. 4) Questions you have! Join the discussion and leave any questions you have for Nahid and Carey in the comments section during the broadcast for the chance to have them answered live on air.
